To properly carry through the Guru Yoga practice, you must rely completely on the master. You should not ask your father or get suggestions from your mother. Whether you feel happy or sad, whether you are sick or healthy, whether you may be sent to lower realms or higher realms, whatever may happen to you, rely only on your root guru. That is the proper way to carry through the practice.
